Critical, or turtle flip, def air, power move, a rotating hop from a turtle.

History

The critical was developed by Fresh, along with other members of LA Breakers [2,3,4]. It is named after Fresh's crew, the Critical Mass Rockers, a subunit of LA Breakers [3]. Continuous criticals were done in the late 2000s [5].

Also def air bomb. Critical with a 540° rotation, landing on one's back.

Ruen's Critical

Critical with the non-stabbing arm further in front, where the head swings between the arms before the hop. The non-stabbing arm leaves the ground after the stabbing arm. The lower body goes higher than in the standard critical, allowing the move to be caught in an elbow freeze or handstand.
